A tribute to my wonderful mother!

I wanted to dedicate this post to my wonderful mother. It has almost been a year since her death and as feelings of sadness want to overcome me I feel strongly that she wouldn't want me to dwell on the sadness but instead be happy and celebrate Heavenly Father's plan of salvation and the knowledge that I will see her again. The title of my blog: "New Day New Start Happy Heart" was something my mom created and said often. This post is in celebration of her wonderful, Christlike life and the impact she had on her family, friends, and complete stranger's lives. I love you Mom!

Marissa's 21st B-day!!

Marissa and Justin celebrated Marissa's birthday in Disneyland. We celebrated her birthday last night when they got back. McCall gives very creative presents -- notice Marissa's new accessories. What would we do without families!!

Finally 19!

Well, Gavin finally turned 19! He is counting the days until September 24th when he gets to leave on his mission. There is a Thai restaurant close to our house and he has become friends with the owners. They are teaching him Thai and he has been teaching the gospel to one of the owners with the missionaries. He is already an awesome missionary!

My first post

Well, I 'm finally posting my first post!! My kids helped me set up my blog about 3 weeks ago but I keep procrastinating starting to write posts. So now that I finally sat down to write I don't know what to write about other than I have an amazing husband, four wonderful kids, and one awesome son in law. I am very blessed!
